Her periodontal condition improved significantly soon after and has been good since. I'm not sure if this has been studied before but could be interesting.

Lets do a study on BRUXISM...
In my private practice i see one or more cases every day. The incidence has increased tremendously and all the problems associated with it too.
Lets find out if Drs can recognize signs and symptoms... if they know or how to treat the problems etc...
I think this will help the general public tremendously
sincerely,
Dr. Stanley Asensio

I am an orthodontist in Alex City (for 30 years). I have the first ConeBeam CT (CBCT) in the state of Alabama (UAB now has one in Perio=pros dept) and the first orthodontist in the US to have a 3D facial capture system in routine use in private practice. We are combining the CBCT with the 3D facial capture to create a Patient Specific Anatomic Reconstruction (PSAR)for accurate diagnosis & Tx planning not only for orthodontic patients, but for orthognathic surgery cases and implant cases, etc.

Suggestion:
I think a study of patient management would be interesting. It would include everything from how the patient is treated when coming in as well as how long they are in the waiting room, the chair and how much personal time the patient gets with the dentist. The study will measure patient retention and patient compliance with treatment plan related to the time spent in the office
